1946, the first MOLL accumulator made sure of a good start. Since then, millions of MOLL batteries left the plant in Upper Franconia Bad Staffelstein for use in the whole world.
The story of success of the mid-size company was initiated by Peter J. Moll, a gifted engineer and specialist in accumulator technology. The standard work on the accumulator field, "The production of lead accumulators", flowed from his pen also.

Pointing the way technical developments and highest quality requirements concerning production are the guidelines for the company from the beginning. Until this day they characterize the philosophy of company MOLL and are guarantor that the brand MOLL stands for premium quality.
Numerous MOLL-patents mark, so to speak, the way of the successful brand development as milestones:
The central degassing system – called Kamina-system – for example solved the problem of acid damages caused by uncontrolled escaping exhaust. Already developed in 1953 in the first step for motorcycle batteries, all further MOLL-patent solutions for cars and trucks followed. Today, the integrated degassing system by MOLL can also be found in almost all quality batteries worldwide – the MOLL idea became a worldwide standard.

Declaration of belief in the location Germany
Gerti Moll-Moehrstedt, managing shareholder and daughter of the company founder, clearly declares her belief in "Made in Germany". "On our field we are the only company which is still independent and produces in Germany". Besides the high quality of the products, large flexibility is another factor of success for MOLL – whether it concerns quick logistics or the fast realization of customer requests. And an imperative precondition for this is also closeness to the customer.
MOLL supplies renown automotive producers for OEM such as VW, Audi, Porsche, Seat, Skoda, Karmann, Lamborghini, Liebherr, and many more.
On the aftermarket, MOLL batteries are delivered to specialized retail shops, to large consumers, and to the industry.

Awards confirm the success
Quality awards of renown automotive producers and independent consumer tests repeatedly confirm the high MOLL quality level: MOLL received the Porsche Supplier Award for the 5th time already, the Audi quality award for the 6th time already, as well as the highest prize of the VW group. MOLL batteries have been test winner at Stiftung Warentest, ADAC motorwelt and others several times.
